Lost Creek Wilderness

I went solo backpacking in the Lost Creek Wilderness area above Deckers Colorado. Hiked in a couple of miles and set up camp. Day hikes about 7 miles the next day to check out the valley.

 Yum morning coffee
 Beaver Dam

Its called the lost creek wilderness because Goose creek frequently disappears into caves and under enormous boulder falls. The creek is teaming with brook trout.

I climbed up this crazy granite dome, around it over it and almost fell off it a few times.
 Lost the creek again.
 Click on this panorama.
 So sleepy.
 Packing back out.

San Juan Fly Fishing

A few weekends ago I went down to Durango to visit my coworker Matt Jones. We took a side trip to New Mexico to nymph the San Juan river.

iPad App Review: The Daily (News App)

This news app is totally integrated with the iPad, playing videos and music, directly from the "news" stories. The news is kind of soft though heavy on gossip and sports. Its nice that they have news about apps in it but for 99 cents a week or $40 a year...haven't decided if it's worth it yet. The first two weeks are free though so check it out.

In order to tether my wifi-only iPad to my iphone4's 3G connection they made me "upgrade" my $30 grandfathered unlimited data plan to a new 4GB plan that costs $45 a month. Sweet!
